Scam call claiming to be from Microsoft. Other reports say this is also used for a scam recycling. Be wary do not trust anyone phoning from here. I got the number from 1471.

This is a faux number (as in faux fur), as it's got too many digits i.e. it's a spoofed / fraudulent / scamming / junk caller. :-)

Asked the caller for his name and name of the company he worked for. He just kept repeating my name, saying 1twas the same as his. I told him to remove my number from his list but he refused to do so saying it wasn t possible. I ve now blocked it.

Pretended to be a local business wanting an emergency Plumber (so avoiding our reception staff) they then tried to sell Screen advertising.... As per other reviews underhanded.

Answered phone. Caller hung up after several seconds without saying anything.

Household appliance insurance. Said mine was being changed to cheaper company and then started to ask my bank details. Knew my name and address. Kept quoting some key number of something similar which meant nothing to me. Confident London female voice. When I said I d have to ring back got defensive and said would ring me. I picked up my phone, but silence. I didn t speak and it soon clicked off. It looked and felt like a scammer.

Supposed job offer, but refused to provide details citing "confidentiality". Knew some public information about me (probably from LinkedIn) and immediately wanted confirmation of my work history and a copy of my CV. Very suspicious.

Rang us and wanted to speak to x about their car accident on x date with x vehicle purporting to be insurance company. Total scam. Our car was at the repair shop on that date BUT on a job we had put it in for, nothing to do with an accident. Rude, abusive when challeneged

PPI Calls from South African using Tel. No. 0161 814 2295, 0162 284 5443, etc and nearly drove me around the bend calling up to 6 times daily.
