had many missed calls from this number over 2 weeks. They actually rang today whilst my phone was on! I answered and they wanted money for lifeboats. I said no and hung up.

I found in my letter box a brochure advertising for "Free totally unlimited broadband" from TalkTalk! Has phoned everyday since last Thursday, tryed to ring back back to see who it was and didn't connect.
This number rings my house phone at least 4 times a day. Refuse to answer numbers I do not recognise. Who is it?
Phoned me on my mobile asking to speak to somebody else.
2nd call in 2 weeks as per other comments. Rude and pushy female not understanding when I said thank you but I m not interested. Was about mobile account and what fabulous tariffs they can offer.

Claiming to be from my Internet service provider but could not give me any information to demonstrate that this was genuinely the case - didn't know my name and when challenged could not prove who they were calling from. Told me there had been issues with Internet connection in my area in the last few weeks and when I said mine has been fine they then changed tack and said they were calling to protect me from hackers. I cut them off and suggested my ISP contacts me over email if there's a genuine problem.

SCAM Automated call pretended to be Ofcom and that my io address has been connected with links and internet was to be switched off within 24 hours, and asking me to press 1 to connect with the scammer. Hung up and contacted Ofcom directly and clarified it was indeed a scam. Horrible bastards I hope no one gets caught out HANG UP IMMEDIATLY.
