I found in my letter box a brochure advertising for "Free totally unlimited broadband" from TalkTalk! Talktalk was written in the heading of the brochure with phone number: 08000497902, but the sender was: F. Ree, 4 Contract Life, Totally Unlimited, Broadband, D34L1! Asian sounding chap calling himself Mark Williams said he was calling from Microsoft informing me that according to their records "Korean hackers" had gained access to my computer the night before and I must log in immediately so he could talk me through how to get rid of "virus". I asked him how was I to know he himself wasn t a hacker and he told me to phone their number on a mobile while I was still on the line to him to prove they were genuine. I don t think so!
