An indian woman called me from this number saying she was a BT employee and could see from my account that I have issues with slow internet which I do. She said she needed me to run some diagnostics from my computer to check the issue my end. At this stage I felt it might be a scam so asked if I could have a number to contact her to validate that she was a BT employee. At that point she put the phone now on me.

Type of call is fraud . I am getting texts from Barclays Bank telling me I ve done something with my account and if I don t agree then I am to call 03332001014. I guess it s a premium rate number and if I did call it regarding a text from my bank would they then proceed to try and get my bank details. I haven t called it of course but wanted to share the fact that this number is being used in a scam!

I feel sorry for Bideford G.B. because the criminals, who fake their numbers as well as everything else, chose to call me using this supposed number today. As usual, the voice was foreign and very indistinct, accompanied by crackling, and there was a delay before the woman even spoke. I told her to speak more loudly and clearly. I didn t answer the call as very suspicious but rang them back to get info. Say they re claims specialists and got my details from Motor Insurance Bureau. I haven t had an accident and they had my name wrong. Very foreign accents. I suspect a scam. have blocked the number.
