Inenco - Energy Sales
Phoned once. Answered it but didn t say anything. Girl asked for me by name. I made enough noise that she knew someone was there and waited a minute then hung up. Half an hour later, a man called. Joe. I said "You re coming up as a nuisance call on my phone. Why is that?". He identified himself as Joe from a company called Clear Answer working on behalf of EE. I said "I won t speak to you until you provide me with your company number from Companies House". He went quiet then tried to give me "01482489010"
Some sort of scam. The person took a long time to respond on the phone, playing a recorded message of the supposed company name, Kate Pillar Advice Services (or something similar). The line wasn t very clear but she was trying to fish out details of a supposed car accident that she had heard about from the Road Traffic Statistics Department. Apparently. I asked her again who she was, and she hung up.
