I picked up, said Hello and heard the familiar noise of a call centre with many voices in background and a single voice saying Hello, Hello. I didn't answer, put my phone down but left it connected, suffered the continuous high pitched noise until it stopped then checked number on this site. My hunch was correct! A nuisance call! So irritating!

Similar number is used by the EE call centre, and as the number as assigned in some ranges for the call centres, this shuld be the same case, but not confirmed yet. Be aware to not call them back, the line is for shared costs...

Just received a call from someone called Emily from Intelligent Home Energy. When I started asking questions about how she got my number she asked if I was registered with TPS. I said yes but she said I needed to re-register every 12 months. This is untrue for a private landline number. I will be reporting to TPS.
