Call purporting to be from BT Openreach re my computer. Sounded like a call centre abroad. I told the caller that they weren t from BT, at which the call was disconnected.

I specifically use a different number to give out for official stuff and a personal number for friends and trusted associates. Both mobile phones. This has helped me syphon my calls successfully. I then check out any numbers that call me on sites such as this, usually finding out the number is untrusted. Thanks to the people who leave the valuable information ;)

I received a call from this number with an automated message about my National Insurance number has been used at a suspicious business I should follow their instructions to check... If I call back the number, immediately disconnect after the first ring.
Foreign woman called at 1.55pm claiming to be from TalkTalk's Technical Team and told me they were going to disconnect my internet if I didn't make a payment. I have been with TalkTalk for ten years and have never missed my monthly Direct Debit so I knew this was one of the scams I'd heard about and immediately hung up and blocked the number through my call rejection service.
