phone seemed dead when I answered, but eventually a gentleman who struggled with his English tried to talk to me about a uk government scheme for boilers. For some reason my English was not at its normal competent level today, and a very pleasant cross purposes conversation was entered into, eventually the other gentleman disconnected and I would like to think crawled back into the hole he had emerged from, but more than likely to try and con somebody else

Called the number back, and yes customer is with talktalk and they had call screening in place. It seems a call centre is using this number as a mask to make calls from the internet, and therefore when you call the number back you don't get them but an innocent talk talk customer.
