Having called me, they ask to speak to "John" or whomever. Clearly, it s a random call and the idea is that you say "I m not John, I m Bill" so that they can update their database and they have a name to match the number. One surefire way to get rid of all such nuisance calls is to ask for whatever they are selling x20. If it s a phone contract then say "Great! I ll take twenty!... But I only deal in cash.... used notes.... make that THIRTY!... so let s do a deal...." and carry on to waste as much of their
