Know nobody in Reading which is the origin WHY is this still going on in 2023?m and nobody acts-NCSC/ICO/Action fraud don’t protect the individual Same with e mails-Those aforementioned Microsoft/Citizens advice and Which all meant to act-last two meant to escalate to Trading standards and do nothing! Fraud - Indian call centre claiming to be from O2 but hiding behind a UK number as you are more likely to answer it. Offered savings off my bill and free upgrade wanted my details to check and the one time pass code that O2 were going to send me. Its a massive fraud once they have your account info they will go on a spending spree using your details but changing the delivery address. Just hang up or do not answer.

A male caller with a very strong Asian calling about home appliance insurance renewal. When questioned as to which appliances he was talking about, he mentioned appliances I do not have on Insurance cover.
Fraud My phone identified the call as Potential Fraud so I didn't answer.

This number is ringing my BT landline every day at different times of the day claiming to be from the BT technical department. The caller says they have been monitoring my broadband connection for several weeks and have detected a number of unauthorised users using my IP address. To correct this they want me to open my computer and accept new settings that they are about to give me. At this point I hang up assuming this is a scam and will give access to my PC and everything that is stored on it.
Incredible experience. They helped me to get my property repaired and get me compensation

I've been receiving lots of calls to my business mobile starting 0843. All of them without exception disconnect after around 3 rings. No doubt to get you to call back - so I suspect this is a scam, even though I'm the first to comment on this number here.
Rang my mobile, immediately then hung up.
Scam/ pretented to be from HMRC but didn't kow who paid my taxes, kept saying "it wasn't enouth".

I recieved a phone call from this number (08448 003813) and did not answer it but still recieved a bill from 02 for it.
This number rang off a couple of minuets of my saying hello ... when I called back it said it was an incorrect number so it does seem to be suspicious.
