SCAM / SPAM Just had a guy call from 02081610220 and say there are problems with free insulation I had installed a couple of years back and said they needed to come round and survey it. Then asked if I was a homeowner. I said he would know that if he was who he said he was and what company is he calling from - he immediately hung up!!!
SCAM Had a call from this number 8.45 Saturday morning. Started off saying calling from Virgin media and that my broadband connection was not working properly a d she was going to boost it. Then she tried the old scam of getting me to log on to my laptop or computer and pressing CTRL and windows keys. When asked which bank were refunding charges just repeated UK Financial Services. Told me they would cancel cheque if I didn t give date of birth. I said that would be fine and hung up. I then stated that if she couldn t answer the question then we couldn t speak further, so she hung up.
