Yet another series of calls (5 in all over the course of an hour) from these thieving b****rds today. Kept trying to tell me it was my windows 7 pc, then gave me a spurious windows registration number, but couldn t let me know my IP address. Then when I told her it was a windows 10 machine, switched to telling me it was my windows server. I do run a server, but it s Linux! They really won t give up will they!

18 Nov 2021 - Called 18/11/21, claimed to be calling from “uk whitegoods”, which I know is a spares supplier in Scotland. Wanted me to renew washing machine warranty, which he said must have run out by now. Don’t know how he would know that. I told him I’d just taken out cover with home insurance, I then put the phone down. I consider this to be a SCAM, I’m sure they would take your money and you would get nothing in return. Reply

Caller said they were from Talktalk and said there had been problems with my router. I challenged the caller and said I would ring talktalk to confirm she than hung up.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 2036349xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, insurance marketing, claims of all kinds. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
