Received call a few minutes ago. Recorded message states fraudulent activities on my Social Security account. Provided called number and message call back number to all necessary sectors to help in investigating the spam origin. Obviously this caller did not know I work for the government that investigates fraud, spam and scams. Hope to see you soon.
First call - line was dead. Second call day later noisy call centre back ground. Supposedly calling as I had been referred by a friend or similar, saying that I wanted an additional income. ?? Wouldn't explain clearly and got annoyed when I started asking questions, then hung up. Must be some sort of scam

Male with a thick accent - Middle Eastern or Asian perhaps, very loud phone line so hard to tell. He called asking to speak to owner, said he was calling from Direct Energy Dept. I explained the manager is not available for the next 2 weeks and he got quite angry and said 'no ma'am this is urgent'. I explained I can maybe find someone else to take the call if I could have his number, email and what the call is regarding. He said 'no let me speak to the owner, ma'am what is wrong with you?! This number appeared on a postal letter which purported to come from Next saying I'd changed my address and my Next account had been updated. I don't have a Next account, so I contacted Next on the number provided on their website and they confirmed this.

SCAM. This number left a garbled message about £9.99 and to press 1 to cancell it. No idea what this is about but the call location was Edinburgh where I have no dealings. In my opinion yet another scam type to add to a long list of such calls.
