A recorded voice called my work phone and told me "that I had not paid my Tax. There was a warrant for my arrest. I should press 1 immediately or the Police would come and arrest me" gave a tone for me to dial. Scam text purporting to be from British Gas saying they have made an appointment for me. I did not respond but then had several texts on the day they said the appt had been made saying they were on their way but might be late! No-one turned up I'm pleased to say. I didn't click any links so don't know what the scam is about - probably an information phishing expeditiion - but it is very clever and needs to be exposed.
Missed the call, rang back and it said ''Thank you for calling Switch My Isa, unfortunately, no one is available to take you call'' so I hung up. Scam caller blocked straight away.
