Female caller with asian accent claiming to be from BT. She said they were going to disconnect my internet as they have been receiving messages showing it is infected with malware via facebook. I pointed out I don t have facebook and have anti-virus software. She eventually hung up.

DailyTelegraph trying to get me to resubscribe after i cancelled my subscription a couple of weeks ago. I just hung up and blocked the number, have not received any other calls from them from other numbers yet.

Been getting calls from this number over last few days so called them back. First a woman answered, seemed like it was the last thing she wanted to do and told me the line was bad so she would call me back. No call back so I called again. A man called Joshua stated he was from Lotto Social and would like to offer me 5 free Euro Millions lines for tomorrow night (24/04/2015). I told him it wasn t something that would interest me but thanks for calling and could he make sure I don t get anymore calls. He said

This number rang me the other day. A number I don’t recognise. I don’t know who the one who called me with this number so I didn’t answer.

From a sales rep at Hurst Media, who own MailOnline etc. Sells advertising space I think

Just received a call from an Indian sounding chap called Charles . Asked me to confirm if I was receiving a high volume of telemarketing calls, and that he could help. Gave me the 0845 number, and told me to call for a box to plug in to the phone for ?1 something per month. I asked him to hold on for a moment, muted the call, put it on speaker and just left the phone on the desk while I carried on with my work. Had the same experience as the previous review. Spoke to representative who advised me my computer had been compromised. I asked him for my IP address and he gave me a made up one. Total scam

A very polite girl called today and told me the company name and phone number (the second time I asked). They are Solar Therm, based in Basildon, seem genuine (I ve just been onto their website) but since I never deal with companies who cold call me on my TPS registered number, they are on a loser. I will now report them to the TPS who will smack their wrists!
