Asked me did I have a bank account, then claimed I could be owed money. When I advised I was not interested the person ended the call.

Man with Indian accent. Said his name was Jerry. Called me Mrs [first initial of my oh s first name + his surname] which anyone can look up in the phonebook. Asked me if I was this person. I didn t tell him. Said he was from the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). I just pressed the red button.

Second call from this number. When I phoned 1471 to find out who it was I got the message "This number is not accepting incoming calls at present. Please try again later". Obviously a scam.

"Brian" called from this number. He called me last week from a different mobile (which I blocked) introducing himself as "Barry". I recognised his voice and told him to jog on (words to that effect) so he didn t have the opportunity to tell me again that he was calling on behalf of a creditor who was threatening to take legal action regarding insufficient loan repayments. This is the 3rd time this number has called me this month. The first 2 times the caller left a voice mail message to call them back. The caller was female and said her name was Lisa or Louisa, couldn t really tell as they spoke so quickly it was difficult to understand. No details of why they were calling. I did not call them back. The third call as soon as I answered they hung up. Note: If you don t answer their call they leave a voice mail, unfortunately at my expense!!!

They call from this number twice a day under the guise of different company names - Direct Utilities, Business Utilities, Select Utilities, Regional Utilities. They are clearly dumb, because when requested to remove our details from their records and stop calling, they say OK and then don t do it, despite being told the we only have a mailing box address and therefore have no need for utilities. Go back to school, children!
