I received a call from someone claiming to be from O2 offering a 50% discount. Wanted me to read a one time code. I checked and I did have a text from O2 but the code said it was to retrieve my account and that O2 would not ask for the number. I told the guy this and he insisted that it was a promotional code and the warning meant I shouldn't tell anyone else about the number. Looked up the number and it wasn't connecte with O2. I demanded proof from the guy that he was from O2 and he got upset at me. SCAM!

Claimed it was EE, but I suspect this is most likely a SCAM call centre due to the line of questioning and the fact they simply hung up on me when they weren't getting the response they were looking for.

This number is clearly a scam stating taxes are owed & legal proceedings will be started. 1. The terminology (& robotic voice) is American. 2. HMRC will never phone you. They will message you to go to your on-line account.

This is someone ripping people off in Uganda and Kenya promising them stadium cleaning Jobs in the Uk among other jobs. Stay away, don’t pay his upfront asking fee. Be aware

This number refused to identify when asked who they were but could hear in the back ground comments to do with debts & collections

Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call.
