The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. This number, and a few others like it, have been calling me at random hours of the night, and play an automated message claiming to be from paypal, and telling me that there is an urgent security issue, and I need to verify my account details. It s clearly not from paypal, and is a way of scamming people.

they called my mobile today and hung up before I answered. I called back using my land line. A recorded message said "the call you received was a marketing call. we may or may not contact you again". I think they are just collecting real people telephone numbers to sell them on to other marketing companies. Don t do what I did because they now have both my mobile number and the land line number. Best thing to do is if you don t know the caller ignore them

I got a call from this number in past and blocked it they tried ringing me again just now but thanks to call blocking on my phone they couldn't connect

I am getting a ridiculous amount of calls from all sorts of companies like PPP, loans, accident claim lines, daily and it is really getting beyond a joke as I'm also texted...

"John" called from Microsoft Customer Services or similar. Apparently I have a problem with security on my computer. Kept him chatting and got his number. Told him I would call him back after I had let the police know.

Having signed up to the TPS I would love to find out who they are. No-one there when I do answer and I won't call back in case it's diverted to a premium number. Beware!
