Wage Day Advance asking to be contacted in regards to my account. Never had dealings with this company before.

Clicked on a side item in Facebook ( Sean Connery loss???) and message both textual and voice came up as message from Microsoft that my computer was infected with spyware and my bank account details could be stolen and to phone their toll free number immediately. I recognised immediately that it was not a tollfree number but a premium rate number and immediately shut down and restarted my p.c.

Fraud Of the worst kind Attempting to cause anxiety. Recorded message says it’s HMRC, it is not Says phone back immediately or a warrant will be issued for your arrest. Some will be worried enough to do this but nothing good will come of responding I am also reporting to police.

Called the number back to be told by recorded message that I had been selected to win £250.00! Errrm No thanks!

SCAM. Very very noisy background. Sounded like Indian call centre with 100s of people nearby. During a pandemic!? Claimed to be BT Openreach checking service. Asked me how many lights flashing on box. I asked where lights would be. Vague response. He asked me to check back. My router doesn’t even have lights on back. Kept telling me to ‘switch off’. Switch what off!? Asked him to confirm customer name. He hung up.

They tried to ask for more information, could barely describe who they were, was just banking on me trusting them since they knew my name, and when I asked they kept spelling it my name back and not answering any of my questions, got annoyed and hanged up before they tried to do anything else

Keeps ringing my phone, often disconnects when i pick up or stays long enough for me to hear what sounds like a call centre or busy office with lots of chatter in the background.
