I never state my name and immediately ask who is calling, on who's behalf and where they got my details. The lady passed me on to her male colleague. Who said they got my details from the car traffic accident department. I question why they would send them any information. I also stated I have not given any permission to anyone to use my personal data or pass it on. Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

Had calls from this number before. Dodgy company based in india trying to sell accountancy services. Want all your company info, bank etc. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!! Contacted UK company called VanillaIP (020 8288 1234) that supplies the callers number, to complain - calls still coming!
I answered and they hung up. Swiftly blocked. Looking at the other comments I shall be giving them abuse if they try calling again
