Called stating they were from Currys PC World when I asked what the call was regarding they replied with "special offer promotion iPhone 14 pro for £35 a month." Currys don't do phone contracts as far as I'm aware. I said I'm not interested and they hung up.

Received this call today. It came approximately 30 minutes after a call from a Cambridge number 01223 931995. The Cambridge number went dead on answering. The 01330 563426 number allowed me to answer, and an automated message said it was the HMRC and that I would be fined. You could press 1 to talk to an agent. I hung up. You cannot ring back. I recieved calls from this number twice, attended one call and said "Hello" but caller silently heared my voice and then drop the call.
I left this to go to answerphone as I don't recognise the number. The caller failed to leave a message.

Did not answer this suspicious call - only my friends are aware of mobile number and I now see this number has only started being used today (12 Dec 2022).
Missed call, left no vm, no msg, nothing to ID themselves, usually means something crooked these days. Don't know anyone in Manchester, would not have answered it anyway. Blocking this no. & reporting it to provider, etc., or anyone who will take note, if u do that every time for every nuisance/phishing call, it mostly stops for a while at least. Beware, stay safe.

Fraud - claimed to be VirginMedia. Claimed "illegal activity on line". threatened to cut off line. refused to confirm account details. became abusive when challenged.
Wife took a call on our landline from 'Amazon', for me saying (female voice, foreign accent) Prime membership was about to expire and I should renew at 79.99 or cancel. The call was not responded to. To my knowledge I'm not currently a prime member (and usually careful to not accidentally become so when ordering!). I would not expect such calls from Amazon anyway, so seems that Prime was being used as a excuse to go phishing/scamming?
This number has called me a dozen times by landline,mobile and text claiming to be Lloyds Bank telling me there is a problem with my debit card use and to call back or click the link urgently. Clearly a scam, and no call back has been made
