SCAM Very stern and meanacing sounding man who introduced himself as an 'officer' said my national insurance number (UK) had been suspended due to some repeat offences. He then invited me to speak to another 'officer' if I pressed '1'. I burst out laughing and ended the call. Remember no Government Department will call you in this way.

SCAM: Local exchange number with clearly foreign caller. I asked what the scam was and he said 'it's a scam about your computer' and then hung up.

This number appeared on my mobile and when I answered it I found it to be a family member who was calling on their own mobile- a nunber which I have stored in my device??????

Sent a whatsapp message to my mum pretending to be me and saying I had a new number, which I obviously don't

SCAM to take over your PC and hold you ransom. Claims to be from Virgin Media, routine check of the line/internet speed. I am not with Virgin Media and they did not know who I was. Asked me to log on and follow instructions, classic scam routine.

Scam call. Saying I was due £600 +. Tax rebate I’m a pensioner. I haven’t paid anything like that amount of tax. Gov wouldn’t send message via text. Also had gov ‘space’ U.K. should be gov’dot’uk

Whoever they ask for tell them to remove your number and do not confirm any information with whatsoever; it will be sold to others even if you answer no to questions like "have you had an endowment policy" (see another post elsewhere online. They will call from a spoofed London number but seem to have call centres all over the place. If you answer anything that information will be passed to as many companies as can make them money, so apparently you'll be interested in anything they can make mon

Another irritating little call hoping to either try to sell some non existent tat or con me into giving them money. Sad little suites. Perhaps the legal justice system could pop to Draycott Terrace in London and nick the sad little twats. Digital pickpockets?

Called by this number purporting to be Albany Assistance. Said they had been asked to call me about a motor collision I was involved in ( what collision!) Hung up when I inquired by who and when

Try to give you a free phone and ask what tariff you are on and they would give you a better deal

Didn't recognise number. We have no connection with anyone in Tranent, neither business or family or friends.

This unknown number called and opened the connection to my phone and headset. Claimed to be from HMRC about to take legal action unless I selected an option. A scam and immediately cut call. SCAM
