I didn't, and please don't answer calls from unknown numbers like this. Type the number into Google afterwards and see what comes up... If it's an 'unexpected call' you've had, then likely it's a Spam/Scam call. Wait them out and look it up after ... If it's an elderly relative who mentions they've been getting these calls, please tell them to ignore it. If anyone important calls they will generally always leave a voice mail you can get back to anyway.

SCAM ambulance chasers that don't even know if there's been an ambulance! Get a call from them every few days, consistent script: "We're calling from the Legal Department of MAUK" (there is a website for mauk.uk but no listing in Companies House, and the directory for the building in Reading they claim to be in doesn't include any such entity). I keep reporting the calls to ICO and TPS. You'd think the imbeciles would give up - it's been going on for years.

Miss No idea who. Not Crewe phone number. Is Crewe area code, spoofed number. I ignored call. No voice message left. No text or email received either. Similar numbers have called before and I don't answer as end numbers after 01270 are not from within Crewe itself. I know as in Crewe myself. SPAM John called, said "I understand you still have a driveway?" My reply "I'm sorry but how did you get this number?" He didn't tell me, so I said I subscribe to TPS for no cold callers. He apologised & hung up. Very amiable, & I was polite too :) Only use my landline for emergencies so any call to it arouses my suspicions!

SCAM - from 07773 212931 - claimed £900 had been paid for online purchase from my visa debit card. Automated message starting “dear customer”. Told me to press 1 for fraud line to stop payment.
Claimed to be HMRC, about an important letter sent … press button 1. The fourth such call I have received in the last few days, all from different numbers. Telltale: automated message, with no attempt to give my name or any identifying references. Avoid!

Claim to be from BT Openreach about issues with our router. Shame we’re not with that company. She kept insisting that even though we weren’t with them she needed to tell us about these issues with her router. When I challenged her about the fact that it was a scam and how could she live with herself and that BT had nothing to do with our router and couldn’t see our router she stuck to her guns that she was legit and needed to tell us what was happening with our router. I just hung up.
