This number has called repeatedly for months now. Alarm bells ring for me as there are no 01769 (South Molton) numbers which begin with a '7', so I do not answer.

First time this number has called. Think I'll leave it unblocked for now and see if they call again.

Guy introduce himself saying he was contacting me as i was on a list to receive a refund due to bank charges. He asked me lots of questions about who ive had loans from and who ive had credit cards with. I said im sorry this doesn t sound right to me...he got very irritated and told me to check the number it is a recognized BT number at a registered address. Missed the call, anyway, before seeing these comments. "Looks like a premium rate number" Sorry, but you re mistaken. 01, 02, 03 are all classed as national rate calls (apart from Channel Islands, Isle of Man) and 03xxx are business numbers. 0845 and 0870 numbers very widely being changed to 0345 and 0370 numbers so they are included in most calls packages (including from mobiles). Only 1899.com and 18185 (cheap call services when dialling using those prefixes before a number) are not including 03x
