PPI. Tried to ignore me and continue with their script when I told them I wasn't interested.
Phone number was local to my areas number, he had a foreign accent, speaking good English, and he asked who I was, not very politely, so I fired back at him who HE was. He wanted to know why I kept calling his number!? At that point I just hung up. I don't know if it's a bored student, or whatever, but I've had this twice this week. So I suppose I'm just putting this out there in case anyone else has had the same, or to just be aware of prank calls doing the rounds... ✌????????

Legit. Checks out with what is listed on the HSBC UK website. Though the call quality was very bad. Also, you know it's a genuine bureaucratic banking process when they ask for 10 different details to confirm your identity. I swear the support lady could just identify theft the hell out of me at this point.
Insulation 5 or 6 calls all from 'your local energy advisor' even though we are fully insulated. Ah yes says he, but that's not the right sort of insulation! Put the phone down, but the calls keep coming. Very irritating. And we are ex-directory!
I ve been called daily by this number but I have a call blocker on my android phone called "Truecaller" (I am not a salesman) which filtered it straight away. It does have apps but is very effective for nuisance callers. Hope this helps.

SCAM saying that they are Hermes....they have a delivery for me but needs extra payment........I have blocked this number. Hermes never do this.

Cold call advising me of an accident - I think they are randomly calling numbers using a Dialler system (Pause, Click then speak)I advised them that I did not have an Accident and asked how they got my mobile number - they hung-up. SCAM Persistent automated calls claiming to be from 'your internet provider' (immediately an obvious scam as your own internet provider would identify themselves!) then threatens disconnection due to illegal activity on the account. Presume will then attempt to extort money, but don't listen to call beyond the first bit.

they rang me this morning and asked to speak to a MR,S C....... I said i dont know anyone by the name of Ess. She tried tried to explain that S was the initial and not the name. I explained to her not to ring me if she dosnt know who shes talking to, and she even had the gaul to try to make me answer security questions first,haha.
