SCAM Asian sounding lady called "Lisa Williams" apparently calling about my bt openreach box experiencing problems.I don't have bt, told where to go. This seems to be a pattern of using the surname Williams, I'm expecting Robbie to phone me next as I've had "Charles"on the phone too lol!
Fraud.. Caller trying to sell me a washing machine warranty told me mine had run out on 7th March '21. NOT SO..Scammer.
Answered this random call to my mobile, automated message saying that a charge had been made against my name from the inland revenue. Ridiculous, I called back to challenge them. A foreign man answered saying HMRC can I help you? I asked why they called me, he asked if he could have my name. I said no. He said You had better get ready to be arrested, Ms ....... (using my name, which I hadn t given), then hung up. Vile scum.

Call center Very rude on the phone. Selling landlines - Would not take no for an answer and then complained that I even picked up the phone in the first place.
Called a few times. Initially I answered. Chap said hello then line went dead. Not sure whether they wanted me to call back. But I didn t. They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. Phone scams are a common way for criminals to con people out of money using various tricks to get your personal or financial information. A funny voice asked me to wait until the next HMRC agents would be available. Finally when the "agent" picked up the call, I asked them where they got my number and the "agent" clearly trying to avoid to answer started asking for my personal details. I said that since they

Automated answer informed me that my national insurance and bank accounts had been suspended. A crime number had been issued and court proceedings instigated. I was to press “1” to speak to operative. Safe to say I hung up. Strangely the actual phone number is very close to my own phone number….only a couple of digits out.
