A scam call regarding a non existing Amazon account...just hang up straight away

Apparently we ve had an accident and he wants to help us! The mobile number hasn t been given out as it s new so definitely a scam. Now blocked.

Said his name was James Walker. telling me I have unsecured debt. buckled when I started asking him questions and hung up. asking about my finances and from his accent clearly gave a false name, when I asked what company he was calling from he said it isn t a company it the consumer awareness line, but this does not exist. SCAMMING for bank details!!

When you answer your phone and if it s a number you don t recognise, DON T SPEAK JUST LISTEN! Wait for the caller to speak first and then decide whether to simply put the phone down. I believe it is someone who called the wrong number. I got a caller on my mobile. I have my number for more than 10 years. I think she misdialled from her phone. She asked for Gemma. I just said there is no Gemma and she got the wrong number. I can't say if this is a trick or not.
