Coronavirus - this is a scammer making fraud calls under the pretence of calling on behalf of the health service doing market research. Under MRS T&C a company is obliged to reveal the name of the company hes calling from and this guy didnt want to do that. It is some coward sitting at home making false calls, harassing people, he should come out of his phone face-to-face and then i will show him how to hide behind the phone and harass people.
They called me, I did not recognise the number when I saw they'd rung. I sent sms to say call again if not a hoax, but they didn't... assuming it's a spam call.

SCAM claimed to be insurance on domestic appliances up for renewal - quoted my name, address and phone number (all as per phone directory) at me,then asked for my date of birth for verification - I asked him to tell me my date of birth so that I could verify it and (surprise, surprise) the line went dead.
Came up as potential scam, so did not answer phone.

Fraud - received an SMS saying it was from the NHS and I'd been in close contact with someone who has COVID and to order a test from a link in the SMS. Stupidly, I clicked on the link, and entered card details for Postage of a PCR. RBS got in touch and cancelled the card, although 2 large transactions had been attempted. SCAM. Rang back and someone with an Asian accent answered my call identifying themselves with an English first name and a surname. I asked what is the nature of the call and they said it is about some kind of TRADING. I told the Asian sounding person to pimp out their family members rather than conning people.
Didn't answer them, they left no voicemail. I've been applying for loads of jobs recently so I assume it's either a call centre regarding that, or my numbers been sold on. I see it's calling all over the UK so I'm assuming it's a telemarketer. I'm located near Edinburgh. Number doesn't match a company or business on Google or facebook ????

Insurance - they are insurance brokers. Can't remember their name. I was their customer 2 years ago but then found out from another broker (when I switched life policy) what they promised me will never going to happen, like having life policy till age of 80 etc., so seems they are set on selling only, not advising correctly. A bit pushy to just review your circumstances, to keep you on the line. Said politely to the lady I'm not interested in doing a review, that I'm working and not having time for this

Call center - rang the number back and said it was 'sure cover' I've never had anything to do with them and constantly ringing. Blocked them yesterday but called again this morning on a different number! Wish they would take the hint when I am constantly ending the call on them. go away!! Blocked for 3rd time and will keep doing so regardless how many numbers they've got.
Some clown demanding to speak to an IT manager. Gave the name of someone who doesn't even work here ! Turned out he couldn't even phone the correct company. Hi, just had a call from an Asian bloke who said my Internet connection had wires crossed in my house and its causing a network problem. He claimed to be BT. I didn't tell him that BT don't run the network it's Open Reach. Also didn't tell him I'm not a BT customer. I ended the call.
