Recieved Text message on my mobile at 01:36a.m. ! It was described as from NatWest telling me I'd get a call from this no about a Debit Card payments and my card was blocked . I rang the NAT WEST fraud team's number from their web pages and it verified that they had called me on my mobile so it was from them. Then verified several recent transactions I had made. Number called me then cut off after a few words "i'd like to speak to..." I called it back and received an automated message saying "Congratulations you have successfully installed...." I hung up at that point. Fortunately my phone is very old fashioned so is unlikely to have successfully installed anything.

Some pest on this number called my (pensioner) mother to ask to "call today to see if anything s wrong with the house". Sounded very suspicious to me, like if this con artist was let in the house, he/she would find lots of non-existent faults that d cost a fortune to fix.
