This sod rang me at about 7.30 to night. I live in Edinburgh, and I thought it was a taxi company (there is a taxi company in Edinburgh, whose number starts 0131-777), but the bloke, with a very pronounced Asian/Indian accent said that he wanted to talk to my wife to discuss her account with them. So pleased I found this site as I have had nearly 6 weeks of totally random calls from these parasites. Generally they hang straight up but really disgusting language used this afternoon. I phoned my provider and they have blocked the call their end and shown me how to do so on my phone which was surprisingly easy. Definitely worth calling your provider if you re as fed up as I am.

I was called just now by a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from Openreach and that she believed I should be getting download speeds of over 40mbs. She asked me to do a speed test which I did and got 19mbs. I asked how I would know she was genuinely from Openreach. She handed me over to her supervisor. He tried to convince me he was genuine and asked my press Ctrl Windows buttons on my keyboard so he could improve my internet connection speed. I again challenged whether he was from BT Openreach. H

I think it might be a charity call centre as this always happens after I donate (unfortunately)

These cowboys claiming to be locksmiths stick these annoying stickers all over peoples property. Every house in my street now has one of these Cricklewood Locksmith stickers on their front doors. I?ve looked at their reviews and can see why they resort to labelling intercome systems and entrance ways: because that?s the only way they can get business! If they were any good, they wouldn?t need to use illegal and aggressive advertising to make money. Avoid like the plague.

After three calls yesterday about the same thing, all from crooks saying they were from Talk Talk, this man had rung to tell me my router had been compromised, though I did not pay much attention to what he said was wrong with it. I told him what a bad line it was and got him to repeat several times. He said he would call another time but I told him not to bother. I said I knew who it was calling. Yes this number is AO.com and yes they do know what you ordered. However this is the Sales end of their organisation so BEWARE (Its probably even a separate company just trading under the same name) . They are calling on the pre-text of your order with AO.com but are very aggressively trying to sell you appliance breakdown cover! Their script is well rehearsed leading you to believe they re on the service side of your purchase and calling about further delivery information. Try ringing them on this numb
