text message with phone # attempting to procure my debit card information. The message asked if I spent a certain amount at a nearby supermarket I shop at. Then they send me a URL to contact. I put in the url and my computer warned me the site was fraudulent and looking for credit cards, bank info, social security numbers etc. The entire page went red and warned me to NOT give any info to these people. I am still going to call my bank tomorrow morning - Better to be safe than sorry.
This is likely to be a robot caller looking for legitimate numbers so they can harvest them for telemarketing. They know its a valid number when you answer it

An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. Seems dodgy.

I asked why it was so cheap and they said it was a limited, local promotion not available online or instore. I asked for more details and they said they would email them to me. Received an email from ' PAYPAL' about a fruadulent activity of £899.99 I contacted the above number and they sent me a 6 digit security number to my mobile and also told me my last 4 digits on my card !!! All seemed very legit..........UNTIL he told me he needed my full card number to put a stop on a further 12 transactions !!! I rejected his request which he seemed to start getting annoyed and agitated !! THIS SEEMS A VERY PROFESSIONAL SCAM DO NOT REPLY TO THEM .
