Telling me I have had two withdrawals from my bank - one being from Amazon for £300 and the other for a couple of thousand from abroad. I had a phone call from (supposedly local) yesterday also saying this! Ignored it.

Scam. Recorded call on my mobile about how I haven't paid my taxes and am in trouble. Heard about this from friends in North America, but now it is here in the UK!

An automated message was saying something about prosecution in regards to tax evasion. Hang the phone up and blocked the number as it's your usual scam call

Danger - this number is from a scam Norton 360 protection email. It asks you to call number if you want to cancel the new subscription you have supposedly auto renewed. Would not have worked on me as I have taken Norton 360 as it’s crap as a protection software tool. If I had I would have gone direct to the Norton rather than respond to a high lighted number in an email.

I asked to speak to management and the name of manager made up a random name. I said that person does not work in your department- they got angry told me I was being cut off and hung up!! Rang my original provider theu said it was a common scam!!

The callers from this number are scammers. They called claiming to be 3 Mobile and wanted me to upgrade to a new contract when I only just renewed my contract with the real 3 Mobile a couple of months back and my existing contract is locked for another 10 months. When I asked the idiot to email me the offer to review, they asked me for my email address and if they were really 3 Mobile they would already have it in their records. This number was used by a male purporting to be from the Halifax building society querying a £900 transaction (false) wishing to use her keypad to enter login details. On my intrusion the line went dead and became inactive
