The guy did not jntroduced himself and went straight to asking for my card details. Asked them on why did they call my number in the first place, their response was to ring the number at the back of my card for any issues. Lol

A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. I had a call from 01491476930 which is local to me. The voice message informed me there were two transactions on my card which looked suspicious and that I should dial 1 to speak to an adviser. This sounded very much like a scam so I put the phone down. If my bank had found a suspicious transactions, their fraud team would contact me. This may be a genuine call but I would rather be safe than sorry and will investigate myself rather than speak to a potential scammer.

As of writing, 3 different numbers tried to call me today (020 8956 2943, 020 8956 2230 and 020 8956 2601). They all start with 020, I don’t know anyone who owns those numbers, maybe the same individual is using different numbers to call me. Likely a fraud and now it’s harassing.
