SCAM Call centre. Numerous calls to say he (Foreign accent called “Oliver”) works for government to claim back fees overcharged. Demanded £130 for a Pay Sure (credit) card for me to pay tax man his cut! Refused to do it. Now saying charging for my cancellation!! I have not agreed to anything so told him “what to do!” and put phone down. They phoned straight back but I ignored it! (Total 6 phone calls in 7 days!!! ) SCAM

Number pretends to be HMRC calling about tax fraud registered against my name. Automated call, threatens you with imminent arrest if you hang up or don't press 1. Once you press one, a very deep Asian sounding accent answers and asks you for your details. Which they should have since they claim to have opened a case against you. I was out all day dealing with a crisis which meant I went 23 hours before I got to bed. I found this number had called me. Out of courtesy I rang back in the morning, as I had been expecting someone important to call and wondered whether it was the person I wanted it to be. All I got was a recorded message which started off by congratulating me because I had been specially selected and needed to press a button to find out what it was. Claimed they from smart insurance & company changed from original. They knew lots of info about insurance. Asked for acc details, put phone down and immediately rang my appliance insurance company and they said they havent been taken over by smart insurance. I felt relieved that i hadnt given out my bank details but its shocking how lnowledgeable they were and the information they currency had on it. Blocked immediately. Pls beware and be careful.

Indian sounding male with very broken English. After the fourth time of asking I finally managed to decipher that he said he was calling from BT Openreach. When I said 'OK I understand now' there was a long pause as if he didn't know what to say next. I could hear someone in the background also saying 'This is BT Openreach'. When I asked him what he was calling about he just kept repeating 'This is BT Openreach'. I asked him if he had lost his script......and he rang off.
