Said they followed up my claim for missold insurance. I asked where they got my number. They said from various databases , I asked them to put a note on their system not to call me back...

I answered this call and it was from a local O2 upgrades team. They explained they had my information as I had opted in to allow marketing calls from O2 but not 3rd parties. I ve since changed to opt out but did upgrade with them as they were very helpful and offered me a really good deal I couldn t get through my local store. Hope this helps others :-)

This number belongs to a Savings and investment company. Was very bad reception on the call but the company name started with the word Scottish. I couldn t make out the rest.

This company is very aggressive and uses several tactics purporting to be an energy supplier or meter registration dept. They are energy consultants without qualms and trying to scare end users into agreeing a contract over the phone by saying that they are on extortionate out of contract rates, etc. Best way to deal with these people is to say you have signed a long-term contract and therefore not interested in their services. The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Phishing organisation. Claims to be from Road Traffic Assistance Management and will suggest you have had a no fault car accident and are entitled to compensation. Only know s first name. Calls started as soon as I put my car up for sale and caller uses Gumtree username as your name.

Claimed to be from BT and that they were going to be disconnecting my internet due to problems my connection has been causing. Pay X and we wont disconnect you blah blah told them not with BT Woman on phone then claimed BT own the whole network and they could still disconnect my line. Completely Fake trying to operate on Fear mongering avoid these scammers at all costs!

Called our company asking for the branch manager to carry out a survey on energy contracts & customer satisfaction. Told him it s all decided through head office so our branch manager wouldn t deal with it. He then asked if he could call back at a more convenient time, (obviously didn t listen to a word i d just told him!) at which point i told him no he couldn t call back at a more convenient time, no thank you & hung up on him. Logged him on our nuisance call list to be blocked by our telecoms company
