A man called to say he was from BT open reach and they had been getting security alerts about my IP address, which had been changed from private to public, so he would talk me through how to change it back on my computer. I told him to get a proper job and get lost.

I have answered then, I heard a sound, so automated system calling randomly, and when a person answers redirects to a call center. A person with likely a Indian answered after a few second and said hello and nothing else, then I hang up. very likely a scam.

This No. is used by Community Call Prevention - a company that claims to reduce unwanted calls. All they do is charge you a monthly fee to register you on the free TPS register This company is a part of the problem, not the solution. They have been told many times to stop calling & that all percieved "permissions" to call have been recinded. Claim to be from BT Openreach about issues with our router. Shame we’re not with that company. She kept insisting that even though we weren’t with them she needed to tell us about these issues with her router. When I challenged her about the fact that it was a scam and how could she live with herself and that BT had nothing to do with our router and couldn’t see our router she stuck to her guns that she was legit and needed to tell us what was happening with our router. I just hung up.

Lady with a Swedish accent phoned my number asking for my daughter by her full name. I said that is my daughter what is this about? She then went on to ask if we know about the european laws reguarding crypto currency and I realised it was probably a scam and hung up to google the number and found it listed 6 times on a swedish number look up website.
