Then I rang again chose option 3 to speak to an operator, they confirmed my number was removed, they couldn t tell me how I had been added to their subscription service BUT (and this is the IMPORTANT bit) they could see

They left answerphone messages - Claimed to be HMRC and are preparing a lawsuit against you. Call this number immediately. Yeah right, total scam. Worry that some people may be worried enough by the threatening nature to fall for it. They also called a couple of times from 0113 3281205 with the same voice and message funnily enough! HMRC would never leave a message like that so these calls are always scams.
