Totally insidious. Persuaded my father to download files that gave them remote access then got him to access his online bank account as "Microsoft" had accidently paid him 4000 GBP. Bullied him into trying to "pay it back" and eventually insisting he go to the Post Office to pay them back. After 2 hours Dad was utterly distressed and put the phone down. We had to cancel all his debit and credit cards, run a 4 hour PC clean up and called in the police.

He finally hung up when I started shouting at him. Never said what he was phoning about just insisting I was someone else.
