SCAM I recieved a telephone call from what sounded like a call center, but the number was local (01942 491331) the man who spoke was asian sounding claiming to be from the' tax office', said I owed 6 months taxes. I challenged him and asked what ref number he had, he couldn't tell me so I asked for a name and number to call back but he just insisted I pay now or I would be arrested!, so I asked how much? he still couldn't tell me or even my name, just repeated my phone number. I then called him a scammer

I got 3 calls between December 28-30, 2016. I was in Thailand at the time. I have no idea how and why it happened but when I blocked out the call I must have accidentally dialed back, TWICE! ! I have now received a phone bill in the amount of 180 GBP for 2

Multiple calls from this number but when answered there is silence. OFCOM should be doing more to stop these nuisance calls.

PPI, had one refund already, through this firm!

I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet resources, which should be a good sign... Does someone have some experience with this one? Was trying also different formats of this number, but no luck. There are more similar numbers

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 16181490xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with some wide-scope telemarketing call centre, reported with PPI, insuarance marketing, loans/debts, energy schemes. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

Called landline twice on 28 June 2017. No voicemail left. Got No. from 1471. Returned call only to receive a voicemail stating its a call from my local Lloyds Branch and that they will call again. I am waiting for this call again (IF it comes) and hope to play the caller for what it is worth. Will also let the Police know but not sure they will be willing to do much though they have the number. Perhaps they could establish WHO has issued this number to whom and take it from there. Had a call today from a guy with a foreign accent stating he was George Wilson say he was ringing from BT as they had noticed I was having trouble with my internet speed. I could tell this was a scam so I told him to go and do one.

I had same call and I told him you rung police station and he quickly hung up the call
