Recorded call that states there is urgent news about your pension bonus-how stupid do they think we are! I have had a number of these calls over the last couple of weeks. Dialing 1471 gives this number 0161 752 0020. I have not contacted this number nor will I, this is quite obviusly a scam of some sort.

Asked for me by full name. Said they received some information that I was in an accident some time ago, when I said I wasn't, he hung up on me.

absolute nightmare. called about 10 times a week from different numbers, even though i block the new number everytime. Asked them to take the number off the list.

As with most other comments, single ring then hung up. Did not call back. Weird thing was, this call came in on my company mobile, the number for which is only given out to colleagues and a few family members. I ve never used it to sign up for anything so no idea how they got it. Assume auto dialler?

It is obvious that the firm making these calls is also manipulating this forum. Both are equally shite. In my case they have a pretend-itslocal pseudo number. Jail for you soon. Not soon enough.

Well, after a couple of days of peace and quiet from this number.. they ve started again, with a VENGEANCE! I have reported them to EVERYONE they can be reported too, and now, im on plan B! FYI if you re on "talktalk" you can set up "last caller barring" which allows you to block up to 10 numbers from ringing you :) and its FREE!! im in the process of setting this up now, and hopefully it will stop all this nonsense! Scam caller pretending to be from HMRC about unpaid tax.

PPI company that cons you into signing up with them and then takes 30% of whatever they find for you, as payment. They also use a computer dialer that calls numbers and then hangs up on you if an operator is not available to talk at you
