I had a call on my phone after activating my SIM which had been dormant for 12 months with Orange/EE They did not leave a message. Strange they got my number 24hrs after reactivating SIM!!!

This is a Debt collection company as has been said above, they call 3-4 times and then drop off. They ring for short bursts and then that s it.

Rang once, couldn t understand name of company but heard PPI, so put phone down, rang back immediately and the male operative said, "Why did you put the phone down", I replied, "Cos I m not interested". He answered, "Interested in what" in an angry tone, so I just said, "In whatever you re selling" and hung up again. The phone then rang again immediately and I didn t answer. Didn t like the tone of the call at all, or appreciate being rung back a further twice.

Missed call When I tried to call back the number was invalid.

As with most other comments, single ring then hung up. Did not call back. Weird thing was, this call came in on my company mobile, the number for which is only given out to colleagues and a few family members. I ve never used it to sign up for anything so no idea how they got it. Assume auto dialler?

This is the UK version of a scam running amok in the US. The supposed company, microsoftechs.com, contacts people and claims there is an issue with their computer. The claim to be partnered with Microsoft and gain confidence with all the classic scam talk. If you do get scammed, they will access your computer via remote access, go through your email, install software and who knows what else. Completely fed up with silent calls from this number . TPS has no effect . The Government need to step in and put a stop to it.

Well, after a couple of days of peace and quiet from this number.. they ve started again, with a VENGEANCE! I have reported them to EVERYONE they can be reported too, and now, im on plan B! FYI if you re on "talktalk" you can set up "last caller barring" which allows you to block up to 10 numbers from ringing you :) and its FREE!! im in the process of setting this up now, and hopefully it will stop all this nonsense!
