Called and asked to speak to the phone contract owner, then sounded like they dropped the phone and just started laughing hysterically. I hung up.

just what to know who called

Rang me about a valid accident looking to take a statement - I declined as they did not know my real name or address. Seemed very dodgy and was given advice that I did not have to give a statement to anyone but the Police.

This number rang me this afternoon and didn t answer as I didn t recognise number, went on to voicemail, couldn t understand as it sounded oriental language.

Said they were upgrading the fiber network for Open Reach in our area and needed to be put through to the person dealing with the telephone to avoid the lines being cut off. A direct threat. Les on lies. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CROOKS.

NUmber appears to be from a company alled DeVere's. A financial services company who offer finnancial services such as wealth planning, tax optimisation schemes, moving final salary pensions to tax shelters abroad, etc. I have had no personal dealings with the company and cannot comment on their service. I was cold called. I assume they saw that I was a former employee of a blue chip company and they offered to move my final salary pension abroad. They could be perfectly legitimate, I cannot say.

Phoned me few times in the last 3/4 months. Its machine, not a person. They are telling me they are HMRC, I have tax fraud and if I won't contact them they will arrest me immediately.
