SCAM Automated call pretended to be Ofcom and that my io address has been connected with links and internet was to be switched off within 24 hours, and asking me to press 1 to connect with the scammer. Hung up and contacted Ofcom directly and clarified it was indeed a scam. Horrible bastards I hope no one gets caught out HANG UP IMMEDIATLY.

Tried to scam me by calling my phone and asked for my email address. Then I was told to check my email for a password to allow her to add me to her address list because she allegedly lost her list. When I checked the email message it was a code authorizing to reset my Facebook password, so I did not give the information. This person was even messaging in our native dialect. She avoided talking to me live though when I answered her call the first time, and just sent the message asking for my email.

SCAM - I believe this number to be part of a convincing scam! Caller claimed to be from 'Motor Assess' regarding a recent accident. Interestingly I had a minor touch in my car yesterday and exchanged insurance details, so I thought was related, but the individual I was speaking to didn't quite seem convincing and couldn't give me any details, I googled 'motor assess' whilst speaking to him, with no trace of the company! The person I was talking to was persuasive and persistent!

Told me his name was Vitali and he was calling because i had a problem with my router and that i would need to swap to a talk talk one (I m not with talk talk). He tried to get me to do stuff on my computer and told me it was full of errors. Not very happy when I called him out on it. He gave me Virgin Media s sales number when i asked him for his number as i didnt believe him. But 1471 told me he called from this number. Watch out.

The Company names they give are Web Security Global, Microsoft 24 Security Support and Web Expert Security – ALL ARE non-existent. These callers are persistent, aggressive and thoroughly unpleasant. Once you get a call like this from one scammy nob-head company, they keep calling with new numbers in the hope that you react and call them back. Don't answer, Don't call back. Its usually a premuim rate scam that either has some kind of fax machine tone, or someone claiming to be someone they're not trying to keep you on the line for as long as possible whilst running up your phone bill
