That link looks like a Gov.com site ok but when I do a separate visit to Gov.com it states there that I do not need to apply for this. something fishy about this I think

Be careful it’s a scamI they send a text saying my new number save it with no name. I text back and asked if they were . Next got a couple of short text about hope your day is better than mine. Scammers. They say they are from Blockchain.com, but they want you to put money on a dormant account so you can reactivate it and take the whole amount from the account. These people used 56 different numbers to call me, but I keep them on a string and let them lose their time so they cannot mislead other people in that time.

This has been reported to Action Fraud but, as it does not affect Action Fraud, they will do nothing about this ongoing fraud and scam.

Likely scam. They rang me. I picked up but didn't say anything into the phone. They didn't say anything either and then hung up. I always answer in this way when I receive an unexpected phone call from an unfamiliar number. Legitimate callers always say "hello" and try to get a response. Scammers hang up.
