I was targeted for an unusually precise scam 26/05/23 in which a group telephoned me apparently with specific knowledge of my bank organisation, my name and mobile number. The scam started by suggesting there was fraudulent activity on my bank account, and that the account was being temporarily suspended. What surprised me was that they knew who I banked with, and also spoofed the relevant bank telephone number

HMRC SCAM: left a voicemail with a robot voice saying: "HMRC documentation department. Legal actions will be initiated against you shortly. Please press 1 to speak to our officer." This is such an obvious scam, please please REPORT anywhere you can, including HMRC themselves.

I believe this is a scam. I let call go to answerphone, message said they were checking 2 charges, 1 from Amazon, 1 from international banking.

It's the tedious call back scam where naive people (marks) call back thinking that it's a local/national number when, in fact, the return call is redirected to a premium rate number without the mark's knowledge. They said they were from Amazon and I had a £900 transaction taken from my account he asked me to follow his instructions ( I did know it was a scam) I told him ok he said to put him on loud speaker and he was going to give me a 9 digit code to enter into my phone, I asked him if he could call me back in 10 minutes when my daughter is home as she works for the police he suddenly hung up. I have passed the phone number on to Amazon but I’m worried about the people that they do trap please don’t give any one

It’s a scam number. Got a call from this number telling me they have a discount for o2 members and asked for my o2 one time code to apply the discount.

FraudFemale recorded voice with American accent (very amateurish) saying they were HMRC and that I had been reported for tax evasion. The case has been reported to the police and would be brought before a magistrate. "Press 1 to speak to a HMRC agent", Obviously I didn't. This country has some of the most advanced telecomms technology in the world. WHY can't the authoriries (Police, BT, the Regulator) take down these numbers?

SPAM Caller will ring your phone and then hang up upon hearing your voice but if you try to call the number back it is not recognised and an automated voice will say 'check the number and dial again', even though it just called you, my advice is not to answer and block instantly.
