That company called me today. It's Countrywide Surveyors and they were calling with good reason.
Some sort of market research, I hung up.
Message left claiming to be royal mail saying they had tried to deliver a parcel and wanted £1.99 to re-deliver it. Obviously a scam to try to get my band details

It's a fraud scam. They've somehow got a list of people who have purchased white goods and they're calling them to tell them the warranty has expired. I told him to fuck off and put the phone down as they were clearly trying to get me to pay for a new insurance policy when I blatantly didn't. Not only is my washing machine only 4 months old and therefore still under the manufacturer's warranty but I also to out a policy with Domestic & General which is valid for life so long as I continue to pay th

These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... Received a call from this number appertaining to be from Amazon asking me to confirm/cancel a purchase of £99. When I said cancel she asked me what device i used so she could send me a cancellation form? I said i was away from my computer but she said she would wait on the line until I was in front of it. She quoted my correct address but I didn't feel happy so ended the call.
