I too received a call at a funeral at 1020 this morning about so-called PPI, when asked how they got a ex directory number, they were reluctant to answer their source. I informed them a complaint will be submitted for their harrassment, I have also sent a letter to the BBC Panorama. programme who are investigating companies under various names. home improvement company from Braintree. he had my name and i asked him if i had requested a call. he said it was his job to call me as part of his job. I said that it was a cold call and it was his company job not to ask him to call me especially as i am registered with the tps.He knows exactly what he is doing and he knows my right to say no to cold calls. Since this call was going nowhere he ended it because if you do not answer this survey all they have is your name and number to pester you another day

Auto message started "Please hold........" I hung up. Getting realy annoyed at cold callers and auto callers. I am on Telephone Preference Scheme and they still call. Even after I tell them politely I am on TPS and to remove my number. Further calls from the same number I am less polite too. Sooner or later I may reach the stage where I will only have the last resort of blowing a whistle down the line to see if that stops them.
