Just like everyone else, I have had 2 calls in 30 minutes on my largely redundant land-line. The message gabbles that I have been sent a text from 03???????? and invites me to pay what is probably a fortune to listen to it. It is bad enough getting recorded messages offering a clean for my oven, but at least they don't try again until they have selected a different fake number. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. The prefix 01807 is the dialling code for Ballindaloch, a rural area near Aberdeen. The call consists of a short whine, then a silence of around 3 seconds, and then the call is hung up. Almost certainly an auto-dialler checking that a number gets a response so a scammer to give you a call later. The call has almost certainly been rerouted though Scotland from a foreign location.
