This is a genuine NHS number. They use it to call patients to cancel/alter appointments mostly. They cannot leave messages on answerphones because of confidentiality issues.
4 missed calls from this number and 5th time I answered the phone and it immediately rang off rang them back and they claimed they had no records of my postcode or number, then wanted my name and address regarding an enquiry about will writing
Phoned me and played a computer recodred message which claimed to be from my card provider, without telling me who they were. Told me that there had been suspicious transactions on my account and tried to get me to speak to them. I hung up and checked with my bank who told me that nothing of the sort could have happened. Scam call. Purporting to be BT calling with regard to my internet connection. As I am NOT with BT and have not experienced any problems, I regard this call as a scam and hung up. Thay have not called back.
Called 5 times in the span of 15 minutes, the first 3 leaving long voicemails of silence. Likely a spam caller trying to find out if your phone number is actively used, so they can send it on to more spam callers.
