This caller tried to take control of my computer by asking me to run the file Ammy. He said he was from windows error reporting and he could see on his screen that my computer had over 2000 error reports. I didn t run the file, as my windows firewall blocked it when i clicked Run, and i was suspicious.

recorded message scam about my internet connection going to be cut off.
Fake caller pretending to be a hmrc and claiming there was tax fraud investigation and if I didn't answer I would arrested promptly, I pressed 1 and a person answered saying how can I help you today, this therefore told me straight away it was a scam as why does a hmrc officer need to ask me how they can help me if they called me. Don't continue with the unless you want to mess them around.

It s not a UK number.
This company called offering cheaper gas and electric. Played along with them for a bit and he asked who our current supplier is. Told him I was not prepared to give him that information. Could not get the guy off the phone. Told him multiple times I was not interested in anything he had to offer. He would not give up! In the end just left the phone on the counter until he got fed up!

Indian scammers posing as BT tech support. Ask them for your address. If they really were from BT they would know it They will say your computer showed up on their server as being hacked. If that was really the case then why don't they have your address?
